MegaZeux is a game creation system originally released in 1994 and still being developed today. At DigitalMZX you'll find an enormous collection of MegaZeux games and a forum inhabited by friendly MegaZeux veterans. In-depth community info can be found in the MZX Wiki.

Un environnement de création de jeux en ASCII inspiré de ZZT.

MegaZeux (MZX) est un environnement de création de jeux en ASCII inspiré de ZZT (de Epic Megagames, voir la page Wikipedia).
Son développement a été initié en 1994 sous la forme d'un Shareware conçu sous DOS, ayant pour objectif d'être une amélioration de ZZT (est venu au fil de l'eau notamment une ré-écriture en C++, un nouveau moteur graphique, le support du son, de la souris, l'utilisation de la bibliothèque SDL lui permettant d'être multi-plateforme contrairement à son mentor, ...), son développement se poursuit encore de nos jours, à présent sous licence GPL.

MegaZeux a rencontré un vif succès, et sa ludothèque est très importante - composée d'une grande majorité de jeux en ASCII.
Un concours de conception de jeux MZX en 24h dénommé "Day of Zeux" (lien ci-dessus) voit s'affronter des programmeurs en solo ou en équipes de 2 à 3 personnes sur 2 thèmes imposés.
