# Godot 4.0 RC 2 Built from commit d2699dc7ab96fbd75faccc1f32f55baebf1d84dc. This is a Release Candidate build for 4.0, which is now fully feature frozen and should include everything that we aim to have in the 4.0 stable release. Some release blocking bugs are still known at this stage, which we will aim to solve in coming weeks, but you can start using this build as if it was 4.0-stable already. Report bugs on GitHub after checking that they haven't been reported: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues To make a custom build which would also be recognized as rc2, you should define `GODOT_VERSION_STATUS=rc2` in your build environment prior to compiling.
