This is a continuation of the original Unreal Tournament engine. It is based on several parts from different sources:

The partial source code release to version 432: https://unreal.epicgames.com/ (site offline)
The OpenUT project: https://openut.sourceforge.net/
Chris Dohnal's work on OpenGLDrv and D3D9Drv: https://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/
Original work done here.

This means that what you will find here is not the complete source code to the Unreal Tournament engine. Only some very specific parts have been open-sourced. However, there is plenty to improve on.

The goal is to get Unreal Tournament running smoothly on modern systems.

For now, this project is codenamed Surreal.

Un moteur compatible et amélioré de Unreal Tournament (voir les fiches Unreal Tournament 2003 et Unreal Tournament 2004, dans le Bottin), par la Surreal Team.

Surreal est un moteur amélioré et compatible avec Unreal Tournament (voir les fiches Unreal Tournament 2003 et Unreal Tournament 2004, dans le Bottin).

Ce moteur s'inscrit dans la continuité du moteur Unreal Tournament original. Il est basé sur plusieurs éléments provenant de différentes sources :
• Le code source partiel libéré à la version 432: https://unreal.epicgames.com/ (site hors ligne)
• Le projet OpenUT: https://openut.sourceforge.net/
• Le travail de Chris Dohnal sur OpenGLDrv et D3D9Drv: https://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/
• Œuvre originale conçue ici.

Cela signifie que ce que vous trouverez ici n'est pas le code source complet pour le moteur Unreal Tournament. Seules quelques parties très spécifiques ont été rendues open-source.
Cependant, il reste beaucoup à améliorer.
Le but est d'obtenir Unreal Tournament fonctionnant correctement sur les systèmes modernes.
Pour l'instant, ce projet s'inscrit sous le nom de code Surreal.
