ProTracker 2 clone for Windows/macOS/Linux
Aims to be a highly accurate clone of the classic ProTracker 2.3D software for Amiga.
Has additional audio filters and audio mixer improvements to make it sound close to a real Amiga computer.
I have written a portable ProTracker 2 (v2.3D) clone in C using SDL 2.
This clone is meant for computers with a modern GPU and CPU (from about 2008 or later recommended).
It's also designed for 60Hz monitor refresh rates, so it can act choppy if you're below/above 60Hz.
Note: If you're using a French keyboard layout, you must not hold down shift while entering numbers in the pattern data.
Linux important notice:
To get ALT+F4 (copy pattern) and ALT+F5 (paste pattern) working, you have to change these keyboard shortcuts in your OS to something else.

ProTracker is a popular freeware tracker created by Lars Hamre, Anders Hamre, Sven Vahsen and Rune Johnsrud for the Amiga platform. It is among the first programs that allowed for widespread creation of music without studio equipment. It was popular for amateurs and professionals, and sets a standard for the MOD file format.
Introduction
ProTracker allows the user to create sequences of notes called "patterns", which are chained together to form a complete song. Music created in ProTracker uses the MOD file format.
It was initially developed for the Amiga line of computers, but was later made available for other contemporary platforms such as the Atari ST.
Features
In addition to the basic features provided by Ultimate Soundtracker and NoiseTracker, ProTracker came equipped with a built-in sample editor and a keyboard split function to assign multiple instruments to different regions of the keyboard. Later versions also extended the MOD format by increasing the maximum number of patterns from 64 to 99.
ProTracker is capable of playing back music at the correct speed on both NTSC and PAL computers. Previous tracker software used playback routines which were synchronized to the refresh rate of the screen, which would cause incorrect playback on NTSC computers due to the higher refresh rate.
Open source remake
There is an ongoing effort since 2010 to make an open source software clone of ProTracker for modern platforms at SourceForge. The also "ProTracker 2.3D clone" named software is developed under the WTFPL public domain like license and available for Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Vise à être un clone très précis du logiciel classique ProTracker 2.3D pour Amiga.
Possède des filtres audio supplémentaires et des améliorations du mixeur audio pour le rendre proche d'un véritable ordinateur Amiga.
J'ai écrit un clone portable de ProTracker 2 (v2.3D) en C en utilisant SDL 2.
Ce clone est destiné aux ordinateurs dotés d'un GPU et d'un CPU modernes (à partir de 2008 environ ou plus tard recommandé).
Il est également conçu pour des taux de rafraîchissement de l'écran de 60 Hz, de sorte qu'il peut agir de manière hachée si vous êtes en dessous ou au-dessus de 60 Hz.
Remarques :
• Si vous utilisez un clavier français, vous ne devez pas maintenir la touche shift enfoncée lorsque vous saisissez des chiffres dans les données du modèle.

Caractéristiques
Protracker partage de nombreuses caractéristiques d'Ultimate Tracker (quatre canaux, en particulier), mais possède des capacités étendues.
Protracker fait usage du format MOD pour sauver les compositions.

J'ai effectué un test rapide (aussi pour la copie d'écran):
j'ai téléchargé un fichier mod ("blast off.mod" puis "__blind_justice__.mod" sur le site [The Mod Archive], les fichiers ".xm" ne semblent pas être reconnus) et l'ai fais jouer :
- on clique sur le bouton "LOAD" au milieu à droite de l'interface
- on clique sur le bouton "LOAD MODULE" en haut de l'interface
- on navigue au milieu de l'interface jusqu'à trouver le fichier souhaité que l'on sélectionne (un seul clic, pas de double-clic)
- on clique sur le bouton "PLAY" en haut de l'interface
Il fonctionne bien :)
