📕 Description [fr]

📕 Description [en]

KTA3: The Complete Masterworks is every Kill Them All map to date, as well as 12 new maps, in one massive 38-map mega-mini-scenario adventure.

If you want to play co-op, using Co-op.lua is nearly a requirement.

The ultimate self-indulgent exercise in murder and brutality, Kill Them All III: The Complete Masterworks is a 38-level scenario that is a compilation package of the previous two KTA scenarios as well as 12 new levels. Kill Them All is a collaborative mapping exercise that was first begun in December 2006; now, just over three years later, I'm happy to finally conclude the project after its third edition. The objective of each level is very simple: you must kill every single living creature on the entire map and then proceed to the exit.

All of the maps were created under the following limitations:
1. No map can exceed 100 polygons.
2. Every map is a "Rebellion" level, so you lose all of your weapons at the beginning of every level. Therefore, it's best not to try saving your ammo across levels.
3. Every map must have at least one Pattern Buffer -- and no terminals. There is no plot.
4. Every map is also an Extermination mission. You must kill everything to proceed.
5. Every map is made in vanilla Marathon Infinity; no added shapes, no physics, no scripts.

KTA levels are generally short and very fast-paced, focusing more on sheer quantity of enemies to kill rather than particularly lengthy or devious level design to wear you down over time. Therefore, your combat and survival skills will be pushed to the limit.

You must play KTA on Total Carnage. There is no plot whatsoever, and in fact there's nothing at all to experience except for the combat. Therefore, to play on an easier difficulty is to miss the point entirely. If you have friends, KTA is enabled for co-op, but it is *very strongly suggested* that you use the Co-op.lua script available on as the mappers were instructed to design the levels for single-player only.

The previous editions of KTA had intro and outro levels but for The Complete Masterworks I felt that broke the rhythm a little bit. Therefore, I ought to credit my mappers now. This is the level list, in order, with the mapper's name as well as the first volume the map appeared in. Note that, for The Complete Masterworks, the level design is more or less in increasing order of difficulty, but I put priority on making sure no mapper gets two levels in a row. Most maps made by a given mapper turned out to be fairly samey due to how tiny the levels are, so it made the most sense to me to break apart the maps.
